Terms of Use
Last updated: June 27, 2025
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using FreelanceCalc ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These terms may be updated at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Informational purpose only
FreelanceCalc provides free online calculators for informational and educational purposes only. The results produced by these calculators are estimates and do not constitute financial, tax, legal, or professional advice of any kind.
Specifically:
- The payment fee calculators are based on publicly stated processor rates that may have changed. Always verify current fees directly with each payment processor before making business decisions.
- The late payment interest calculator is not legal advice. The legality and enforceability of late fees depends on your contract terms, jurisdiction, and applicable state law. Consult an attorney before pursuing unpaid invoices.
- The quarterly estimated tax calculator is not tax advice. It produces estimates based on inputs you provide and may not account for your full tax situation, tax credits, deductions, or applicable state law. Consult a licensed CPA or enrolled agent for your actual tax filing.
No warranty
The Site and its calculators are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
FreelanceCalc makes reasonable efforts to keep fee rates and tax data accurate and up to date, but makes no guarantee that the information is current, correct, or complete. Payment processors change their rates, and tax laws change annually.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FreelanceCalc and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, including but not limited to:
- Financial losses resulting from reliance on calculator outputs
- Tax penalties or underpayments arising from estimated tax calculations
- Legal consequences of late payment interest calculations
- Errors in displayed processor fee rates
Your use of this Site and reliance on its outputs is entirely at your own risk.
